About the Author

Dr. Chloe G. K. Atkins is an academic and writer.  She enjoys  both creating and consuming narratives. She believes that stories can often be vehicles for truth-telling and for addressing complex issues or disputes.

Atkins was born in Canada and was raised and educated primarily in North America.

She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science, University of Toronto (Scarborough). [She is also on leave from the Law and Society Program, Department of Sociology, University of Calgary.]

She researches and writes about human rights, vulnerability, applied ethics, bioethics, and disability.
